This notion that Scorpio is head and shoulders above the Pro is a joke. Whatever Scorpio runs at native 4k, the Pro will do at upscaled 1800p. People expecting a huge difference are setting themselves up for disappointment. Companies are not going to put a lot of resources into Scorpio versions. Scorpio is a sub product of the X1, not a standalone product. Most of MS sales will come from the regular Xbox One.

Why would Sony rush out a console when they're dominating? Why would they set themselves to be one upped by MS with Xbox 4. Because of Scorpio? Scorpio is becoming the most overhyped console ever. Fans thinking it will force Sony to do anything are deluded. An enthusiast product like Scorpio won't make the regular PS4 and X1 disappear. 90 percent of consoles sold this gen will be the vanilla consoles.

I don't get how that would be worth it for MS. They lost this gen already. Sony is going to put their spec resources to PS5 and still continue to dominate this gen. 4k isn't mass market yet so people aren't going to care much about the difference from 1800p and 2160p
3 is actually very underrated, it's easily as good as 1 and 2 imo.
I never understood this notion that Scorpio is going to cause damage to PS4 or the Pro. 4k isn't even mass market yet. Most people are going to play on 1080p sets. Everyone mentioning PS4s marginal difference from X1 are forgetting that this was early in the generation. Specs aren't going to be a big deal mid gen when people are buying what their friends have.

The thing is Pro and Scorpio are not replacing the original machines. The original machines are going to get majority of the sales, which is why I don't get the chest thumping from the MS fans.

They could've done a modern day cod without being futuristic. Going back to WW2 wasn't necessary for that.

Most of the 8th gen sales will continue to be vanilla PS4 and X1. I don't know why everyone thinks Scorpio and Pro have so much weight on the market. Are people forgetting Scorpio is going to cost about 500 bucks?
Not gonna lie, can't tell a huge difference from 1080p to 4k, there's a difference but it's not mind boggling. The difference from 1800p to native 4k will be negligible at best. If you just have to have the clearest version than Scorpio is your best bet. Won't stop the fact that vanilla PS4 and vanilla X1 is going to account for over 90 percent of console sales this gen.
I hope people realize that well over 95 percent of consoles sold this gen will be original PS4 /X1 making this constant comparison nearly a waste of time.
